In order to provide safe, reliable electrical service, we maintain the rights of way under our power lines. We do this through right of way and vegetation management which entails pruning, removing or replacing trees, cutting brush, and applying herbicides.

Georgia Power foresters are certified arborists, registered foresters and certified pesticide applicators. In addition, many of the foresters are members of professional affiliations, including:

  • Local Tree Boards
  • Utility Arborist Association (UAA)
