Value-Added Engineering and Design
Experienced Planning Assistance
Our Engineering Services Team, established in the early 1960's, has a wealth of experience helping companies and communities with their site needs. Our engineers have evaluated thousands of individual sites and provided conceptual planning for more than 500 industrial parks across the state. This team provides engineering services to companies on a daily basis to assist them in accurately assessing site locations in Georgia.
Whether you need engineering services to accurately assess sites in Georgia, or need a well thought-out plan to identify, acquire, fund, develop, and market an industrial site or park, our engineers are here to assist you.

Common engineering services provided for qualified projects:
Prospect Site Design
Are you having difficulty visualizing how your facility will work on a chosen site?
Utilizing the latest computer-aided design technologies, we can prepare a layout of the facility on the site. Preliminary requirements such as site boundaries, interior access, utility and support service locations, rough grade elevations, rail alignment, truck docks, and employee parking can be drawn and reviewed before the final site is chosen.
Land Information
Do you need more information on your potential sites?
Current information on available industrial sites throughout the state is updated daily in our Sites Database. Data elements include acreage, zoning, environmental constraints, utility line sizes, water and wastewater treatment capacity, and current contacts is available for more than 650 industrial sites and parks. Site descriptions also contain at least two maps — a county location map and a topographic map — with the site outlined for reference purposes. Many site descriptions also contain an aerial photograph and an AutoCad site layout.
Park Planning
Are you a Georgia community leader looking for ways to take advantage of your industrial land?
Conceptual park plans provide the layout of interior access roads, the proper size and placement of lots, the location of railroad spur tracks, and the best layout of facilities based upon an analysis of the land proposed for development. Building-to-land-development ratios are prescribed to attract a spectrum of industries. Topography, flood hazard zones, environmental and historic/cultural concerns, utility availability, and proposed land use plans are factors which can affect each conceptual plan.
Site Evaluations
Are you a Georgia community leader looking to plan and prioritize local development options to attract sound economic growth?
Our engineers will provide you with a well thought-out plan to identify, design, and develop marketing materials for an industrial site or park. We analyze available properties and perform an engineering evaluation to identify those tracts of land that you have identified as available with the best features for development. Factors considered include acreage, topography, transportation access, zoning, current and future land use, utility infrastructure, environmental concerns, and development cost.
Site Marketing
Are you a Georgia community leader that needs help marketing your new industrial site or park?
Our marketing services include the creation of special promotional materials, including the latest presentation graphics and visualization techniques. Color site plan renderings, large format aerial photographs, site descriptions, and a site flyer are made available.
