Meet the Team that Works for You

Our Community & Economic Development staff is made up of statewide project managers that are responsible for facilitating the location, expansion, or start-up of businesses wishing to invest in Georgia. Projects are supported at the local level by regional project managers and engineers.

Statewide Project Support

Our statewide project managers assist companies in identifying potential buildings or sites throughout the state. They provide total project management, utilizing Georgia Power's vast array of services including engineering, market research, demographics, and custom mappings. The statewide project managers also serve as liaison with state agencies and the local communities.

Kevin Lovelace
With a background in staffing and recruitment for Southern Company Services, Kevin joined Georgia Power's economic development statewide projects team in 2002. He specializes in aerospace, security, bio science, logistics, fabricated metals, plastics and data centers, as well as helping international companies set up a presence in Georgia.
Nicole Pearson
Nicole began her career with Southern Company in 2001 in marketing and communication, and later moved to supply chain management. Nicole joined the Georgia Power economic development team in 2007. Special focus areas include logistics, food processing, metal fabrication, new media, headquarters, FIRE and back office operations.
Brenda Robbins
Brenda began her career with Southern Company, parent company of Georgia Power, in 1982. Joining Georgia Power's statewide projects team in 1996, Brenda brought a strong background in information systems and software, establishing data centers and talent recruitment. She has extensive expertise and experience with headquarters locations, FIRE, bio science, data centers, back office operations and new media.
Charles Stallworth
With a degree in chemistry, as well as an MBA, Charles worked as a lab technician in one of the company's power plants and in Georgia Power's environmental affairs organization before joining the statewide projects team in 2002. Charles specializes in projects in automotive, chemicals, food processing, plastics and energy services.
Trae Westmoreland
A member of Georgia Power's statewide projects team since 2004, Trae's career began in 1998 at Southern Company Energy Solutions where he developed and implemented energy conservation projects for government facilities. Special areas of expertise include projects in aerospace, security, automotive, chemicals and energy services.

Duane Dodson, South Region
Duane has been with Georgia Power since 1969, and has a background in power delivery, customer service and region management. He serves on the board of the Tri Rivers Waterway Development Association and chairs the Southwest Georgia Workforce Investment Board. Duane is a Rotarian, and is a member of the Southwest Georgia Chamber Council. View Video

William Edwards, East Region
William began his career with Georgia Power in 1984, and has worked in sales, region operations, and community development. He rejoined the economic development team in 2009 representing the East Region of the state. He is a member of the Central Savannah River Area Unified Development Council and works with the Georgia Chamber’s annual Red Carpet tour to the Masters Golf Tournament in Augusta. William has extensive experience with projects, as well as with local chambers and development authorities. View Video

Peggy Jolley, CED, Coastal Region
Peggy joined Georgia Power in 2003 after gaining economic development experience as director of a chamber of commerce, statewide project manager and development authority executive. She serves on the Advisory Board for GA Tech Savannah and the board of First Tee and is a member of the International Economic Development Council. Peggy supports the activities of several regional economic development organizations. She is past president of the GA Economic Developers Association and a Certified Economic Developer. View Video

Jim Lovett, EDFP, Central Region
Jim began his career with Georgia Power in 1982. He has worked in many areas of the company, including region operations, finance, corporate services, and legislative affairs. Jim is a Certified Economic Development Finance Professional and serves on the board of the Georgia Agribusiness Council. View Video

Rope Roberts, Northeast Region
Rope's career at Georgia Power began in 1979. He has a background in accounting, procurement and corporate communication. Rope serves on North Georgia College and State University's Business Advisory Council and is an instructor in the Georgia Academy for Economic Development, which provides economic development and leadership training for regional leaders. Chuck Scragg, EDFP, Northwest Region
Chuck began his career with Georgia Power in 1982. A Certified Economic Development Financial Professional and a member of the economic development team since 1993, Chuck has an extensive background in management and finance, strategic planning, statewide project management and community development. He has worked with chambers of commerce, downtown development authorities, convention and visitors bureaus and local governments in more than 200 Georgia communities. View Video

Clint Taylor, West Region
Clint began his career with Georgia Power in 1976. He has worked in many areas of the company, including region operations, customer service, marketing, and local management. He is an instructor for the Georgia Academy for Economic Development, which provides economic development and leadership training for regional leader. View Video

Metro Regions

David Stewart, Metro West
David began his career with Georgia Power in 1978. He has worked in a variety of areas including plant construction, financial services, information technology, consumer affairs, region operations and corporate relations. He has served on numerous nonprofit boards such as The Salvation Army Metro Advisory Board, Park Pride and Rebuilding Together Atlanta.
Del Clark, Metro North
Del has been with Georgia Power since 1981, and brings a strong background in business communications and corporate relations. Del serves on the boards of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and the Hispanic American Center for Economic Development (HACED) where she is Board Chair.
Josephine Tan, Metro East
Josephine's career began in 1980 with Southern Company Services as a senior economist. She held a variety of positions before moving to Corporate Relations in 1994 and joined the community development Team in 2006. She is chair of Governor's Asian American Commission for a New Georgia. She was the founding president of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce.
Odessa Archibald, Metro South
Odessa began her career at Georgia Power in 2003, after holding positions at the national, state and regional levels. A graduate of the Regional Leadership Institute and Leadership Georgia, she currently serves on the boards of the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, League of Women Voters of Georgia and West End Boys and Girls Club.

Management Team

Kevin Fletcher, Vice President
As vice president of community and economic development for Georgia Power, Kevin is responsible for the company's efforts to recruit new industry to Georgia, as well as supporting local and statewide initiatives to improve the marketability of communities in the state. The department has been internationally recognized as one of the top economic development organizations in the world. View Video
Pat Sims, Manager, Metro Community Development
As manager of Metro Community Development, Pat is responsible for helping metro Atlanta communities prepare for business recruitment, expansion and retention, as well as urban planning issues. Her team of project managers are dedicated specifically to communities in the metro Atlanta area.
John D'Andrea, Director, Economic Development
As director of economic development, John is responsible for business recruitment and support services. His team assists in the location or expansion of businesses in Georgia, identifying potential buildings and sites. Support services include engineering evaluation and site analysis, preliminary site design, industrial park development, GIS and custom mapping, research and demographic data, and the Georgia Resource Center.
Mike Worley, Manager, Non-Metro Community Development
As manager of Non-Metro Community Development, Mike is responsible for the company’s efforts in preparing Georgia’s communities for growth and bringing new jobs and investment to Georgia. His team of project managers also develop, deliver and support programs that promote leadership development, strategic planning and economic development projects in his or her region.
